Sarah Paine

Sarah Paine absolvierte ein Bachelorstudium in Lateinamerikastudien an der Harvard University und erwarb weiterführende Abschlüsse an der Columbia University School for International and Public Affairs (M.I.A., wobei sie Zertifikate sowohl vom Ostasien- als auch vom Russistik-Institut erhielt) und in Russisch (M.A.) am Middlebury College. An der Columbia University promovierte (Ph.D.) sie weiterhin im Fachbereich Geschichte.^[1]

Sie verbrachte neun Jahre mit Sprach- und Forschungsreisen in den Ländern Australien, China, Japan, Russland und Taiwan.^[2] Seit dem Jahr 2000 lehrte sie am US Naval War College.^[3] Zuletzt wirkte sie dort als Inhaberin der William S. Sims-Professur für Geschichte und Grand Strategy.^[1] Mittlerweile ist sie emeritiert.^[4]

Paine lebt in Portsmouth, Rhode Island.^[3]
