Wahlkreis Ealing, Acton and Shepherd’s Bush

Ealing, Acton and Shepherd’s Bush war ein Wahlkreis (englisch constituency) in der Hauptstadtregion Greater London im Südosten Englands, der einen Abgeordneten ins britische Unterhaus (House of Commons) entsandte. Er bestand von 1997 bis 2010 und lag nahe westlich des Stadtzentrums in den Boroughs Ealing und Hammersmith and Fulham. Der Wahlkreis umfasste die Stadtteile Acton, Ealing und Shepherd’s Bush.

Geschichte
Die Boundary Commission for England schuf den Wahlkreis im Hinblick auf die Unterhauswahl 1997. Er entstand aus Teilen der aufgelösten Wahlkreise Ealing Acton und Hammersmith. 2010 löste die Boundary Commission den Wahlkreis wieder auf und verteilte sein Gebiet auf den neuen Wahlkreis Ealing Central and Acton sowie auf den wiederhergestellten Wahlkreis Hammersmith.
Der Wahlkreis umfasste folgende Gebiete:
- 1997–2010: im London Borough of Ealing die Wards Hanger Lane, Heathfield, Southfield, Springfield, Vale und Victoria sowie im London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham die Wards College Park & Old Oak, Coningham, Starch Green, White City & Shepherd’s Bush und Wormholt[1]
Ealing, Acton and Shepherd’s Bush entsandte ausschließlich Mitglieder der Labour Party als Abgeordnete. Der erste war Clive Soley, der zuvor die Wahlkreise Hammersmith North und Hammersmith vertreten hatte. Auf in folgte 2005 Andy Slaughter.
