According to the 2017 constitutional amendment project, the parliamentary elections in Georgia are held with a fully proportional electoral system and a 5% threshold. This electoral system was first implemented in the 2024 Georgian parliamentary election.[3] The inaugural session of the 11th convocation of the Parliament was held on 25 November 2024. It was opened by Lado Kakhadze, its oldest deputy. The Georgian Dream party holds the majority of seats in the parliament.[4][5]
