The 1899 Rhode Island football team represented Rhode Island College of Agriculture and the Mechanic Arts, now known as the University of Rhode Island, as a member of the Athletic League of New England State Colleges (commonly referred to as New England League) during the 1899 college football season. In the team's second season under Marshall Tyler, the team compiled an overall record of 2â3â1, a 0â1 record in conference play, and were outscored by a total of 50 to 44. It was the team's fifth season of intercollegiate football.
