From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 1918 SAPFL season was the 3rd and final season of the South Australian Patriotic Football League, a competition formed in the absence of the South Australian Football League during World War I. West Torrens finished minor Premiers and defeated West Adelaide in a Challenge Grand Final by a margin of 14 points, marking that club's first patriotic premiership victory after losing the two previous Grand Finals both to Port Adelaide.
