The 1927 German Grand Prix was a Grand Prix motor race held at the Nürburgring. It was the first German Grand Prix held at the newly opened track. It used the combined Nordschleife and Sudschleife layout.

The race was split into three classes:

  • 3,000+ cc engines
  • 1,500-3,000 cc engines
  • 1,500> cc engines

The Mercedes cars dominated the 3,000+ class, with the Bugatti of Junek and the Talbot of Urban-Emmerich winning their respective classes. The track proved to be difficult with many retirements, but praise was given for its racing spectacle.[1]
