9 February â Romania and Poland ratify the Treaty on Mutual Assistance against Aggression and on Military Aid, to build the PolishâRomanian alliance and protect against potential aggression from the Soviet Union.^[3]
7 May â The Romanian Social Democratic Party (Partidul Social Democrat din RomÃ¢n is formed from those remaining members of the Socialist Party of Romania who did not align with the Communist International.^[4]
24 July â The Legion of the Archangel Michael, a precursor to the Iron Guard, is founded by Corneliu Zelea Codreanu.^[5]
