A Dáil by-election was held in the constituency of Longford–Westmeath in the Irish Free State on Friday, 13 June 1930, to fill a vacancy in the 6th Dáil. It followed the death of Fianna Fáil TD James Killane on 26 April 1930.[1]

In 1930, Longford–Westmeath was an five-seat constituency comprising County Longford and County Westmeath.[2]
The writ of election to fill the vacancy was agreed by the Dáil on 21 May 1930.[3] The by-election was won by the Fianna Fáil candidate James Geoghegan.[4]
