1939 Tennessee State Tigers football team

The 1939 Tennessee State Tigers football team represented Tennessee Agricultural & Industrial State College—now known as Tennessee State University—as a member of the Midwest Athletic Association (MWAA) during the 1939 college football season. Led by first-year head coach Lawrence Simmons, the Tigers compiled an overall record of 4–3–1 with a mark of 1–2 conference play, placing fifth in the MWAA.[1]
