The 1945 Delaware State Hornets football team represented the State College for Colored Students—now known as Delaware State University—as a member of Colored Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) during the 1945 college football season. Led by second-year head coach Tom Conrad, the Hornets compiled an overall record of 4–3 with a mark of 3–3 in conference play, placing eighth in the CIAA standings, which were determined by the Dickinson System.[1]
