1953 Manchester City Council election

Local election in Manchester, England From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Elections to Manchester City Council were held on Thursday, 7 May 1953. One third of the councillors seats were up for election, with each successful candidate to serve a three-year term of office. The Labour Party gained overall control of the council from no overall control.[1][2]
