55th season of top-tier football league in Romania From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 1972–73 Divizia A was the fifty-fifth season of Divizia A, the top-level football league of Romania. With 7 rounds before the end of the season, the Romanian Football Federation decided to raise the number of teams from 16 to 18 in the next season and because of this it was decided that no team will relegate in this season.[2]
