The 1987 Asian Wushu Championships was the first edition of the Asian Wushu Championships.[1] It was held in the Yokohama Cultural Gymnasium in Yokohama, Japan, from September 26 to 27, 1987.[2][3] The Wushu Federation of Asia (WFA) was founded at this competition, and a bid was drafted for wushu's successful inclusion at the 1990 Asian Games.[4][5]
