The 1989 Limerick Senior Hurling Championship was the 95th staging of the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Limerick County Board in 1887. The championship ran from 8 July to 10 September 1989.
Patrickswell entered the championship as the defending champions, however, they were beaten by Cappamore in the quarter-finals.[1][2][3]
The final was played on 10 September 1989 at the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick, between Ballybrown and Doon, in what was their first ever meeting in the final.[4] Ballybrown won the match by 4–10 to 2–09 to claim their first ever championship title.[5][6]
Ballybrown's Christy Keyes was the championship's top scorer with 2–26.
