Overview
The 1989 Úrvalsdeild, the top men's football league in Iceland, was contested by 10 teams. FH and Fylkir were promoted from the 1988 1. deild karla to replace Leiftur and Volsungur.[2]
KA won the 1989 championship. FH's Hörður Magnússon was the top scorer with 12 goals.[1]
