The 1998 Iowa Hawkeyes football team represented the University of Iowa as a member of the Big Ten Conference during the 1998 NCAA Division I-A football season. Led Hayden Fry in his 20th and final season as head coach, the Hawkeyes compiled an overall record of 3–8 with a mark of 2–6 in conference play, placing in a fourth-way tie for seventh in the Big Ten.[1] The team played home games at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City, Iowa.
