The final was played on 1 May 2006 at Dr Cullen Park in Carlow, between Dublin Colleges and St Flannan's, in what was their first ever meeting in the final.[2][3] Dublin Colleges won the match by 1–11 to 0–11 to claim their first ever Croke Cup title.[4][5]
Conor Tierney was the top scorer with 1-10.
