Lincoln City 2017–18 football season

The 2017–18 season was Lincoln City's 134th season in their history and their first season back in League Two following promotion from the 2016–17 National League.[1] Along with League Two, the club also participated in the FA Cup, EFL Cup and EFL Trophy.

Loans out
- On 6 October 2017, Richard Walton was recalled from his loan at Gainsborough Trinity to link-up with Cleethorpes Town on an initial one-month loan.[29]
- On 8 November, Richard Walton's loan at Cleethorpes Town was extended for a further two months.[31]

As of 28 June 2017, Lincoln City have announced five pre-season friendlies against Walsall,[32] Oxford United, Gainsborough Trinity.[33] Lincoln United and Peterborough United.[34]
The originally planned friendly against Oxford United was later cancelled.[35]

On 12 July 2017, Lincoln City were drawn in Northern Group G alongside Everton U23s, Mansfield Town and Notts County.[39][40] As group winners, Lincoln City were handed a home tie against Accrington Stanley in the second round.·[41] An away tie against Rochdale was announced for the third round.[42]
