Demonstrations were held throughout the United States on Presidents Day, February 18, 2019, in protest of President Donald Trump's declaration of a national emergency to construct a new wall extending the barrier along the southern border.[1] Because schools were closed on Presidents Day, many young people were able to participate.[2]
