The 2022 Philippine presidential and vice presidential election in Abra were held on Monday, May 9, 2022, as part of the 2022 Philippine general election in which all 81 provinces and 149 cities participated. Voters voted the president and the vice president separately.
Former senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (UniTeam) won in the province of Abra in a landslide against his main opponent Vice President Maria Leanor "Leni" Robredo, an independent (Tropa). Marcos achieved 147,812 votes or 95.29% against Robredo's 4,502 votes or 2.90%. Eight other candidates ran for president.
Davao City mayor Sara Duterte of Lakas–CMD (UniTeam) also won the province in a landslide against Senate president Vicente "Tito" Sotto III of the Nationalist People's Coalition (Lacson-Sotto) and Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan of the Liberal Party (Tropa). Duterte achieved 138,862 votes or 91.23% against Sotto's 7,513 votes or 4.93% and Pangilinan's 3,585 votes or 2.35%. six other candidates ran for vice president.
Abra voted solid for the UniTeam alliance.

Leni Robredo (Liberal)
The province of Abra was highly expected to vote for UniTeam due to being a part of the Solid North voting bloc and high support for the Marcos family. Robredo said it was hard to campaign in pro Marcos provinces like Abra, she was shocked to see that there are people campaigning for her and called them brave.[3] 45 voting precincts in the province gave zero votes to Robredo.[4]
Panfilo Lacson (Independent)
Senator Panfilo Lacson also had lunch with the Bersamin family, one of the province's political dynasties after saying he will no longer hold campaign in the Ilocos provinces.[5]
