This is the first season to have a two-year schedule, since the 2007–08.[1][2][3][4] This is the first time the league officially applies video assistant referee (VAR) technology. The defending champion from the 2023 season is Johor Darul Ta'zim.

On 24 February 2025, Johor Darul Ta'zim were crowned Super League champions for a record 11th time with four matches to spare.[5]

Foreign players

The Malaysian Football League (MFL) increased the amount of foreign players a club can register to ten.[24][25] For league matches, clubs can only designate six players as available for every match throughout the season, with six import players must consist of four foreign players, one Asian player, and one ASEAN player, and only one foreign player can be on the bench.[26] Southeast Asian (SEA) players who have acquired at least 3 international caps for their senior national team can play in the Super League without any restrictions. However, SEA players with less than 3 international caps must be approved by MFL.

  • Players name in bold indicates the player is registered during the mid-season transfer window.
  • This list only includes those registered to play in the league, not included in the AFC Competition.

Note: Flags indicate national team as defined under FIFA eligibility rules. Players may hold more than one FIFA and non-FIFA nationality.
