Women's under-20
The Philippine Football Federation (PFF) decided not to participate in the 2025 ASEAN U-19 Women's Championship and the 2026 AFC U-20 Women's Asian Cup qualification. The decision was met with widespread criticism. The move was described as “wasting the dreams, sacrifices, and efforts" of the youth team, and that “the opportunity to build a better pool for the senior team is lost.”[1]
