The 2026 Berlin Marathon was the 52nd edition of the annual marathon race in Berlin, held on Sunday, September 27, 2026. A Platinum Label marathon, it was one of the six World Marathon Majors events scheduled for 2026.

Ethiopian runner Tigst Assefa won the women's race running the 3rd all-time best marathon time and a course record of 2:11:04 despite acquiring an injury which forced her to adopt a visible limp in the final two kilometers.[1] In the men's race, the 2021 Berlin marathon champion Guye Adola ran a personal best to capture his second title in the event.[2] Swiss wheelchair athletes Marcel Hug and Catherine Debrunner won their respective races.
Competitors
Defending champion Sabastian Sawe was forced to withdraw from the event due to injury a month out from the race.[3] A few days prior, former champion Kenenisa Bekele was also forced to withdraw due to an Achilles injury.[4] In the women's race, Esther Pfeiffer was aiming to break the German women's national record set by Irina Mikitenko in 2008 but was forced to withdraw mid-race due to physical conditions.[5]
