2026 California Attorney General election

The 2026 California Attorney General election will be held on November 3, 2026, to elect the attorney general of California. Incumbent Democratic attorney general Rob Bonta is running for re-election to a second full term in office.[1] Candidates were required to declare by March 6 with primaries being held on June 2 with Bonta and former Huntington Beach city attorney Michael Gates advancing to the general election.[2]
