2026 Tampa Bay Buccaneers season

The 2026 season will be the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 51st in the National Football League (NFL), their 13th under the leadership of general manager Jason Licht, their 29th playing their home games at Raymond James Stadium and their fifth under head coach Todd Bowles.[1] The Buccaneers will seek to improve upon their 8–9 record from the previous season, return to the playoffs after a one-year absence, and reclaim the NFC South title. This season will begin with the team's fifth offensive coordinator in as many seasons.

During the offseason, wide receiver Mike Evans, Tampa Bay's 2014 first round draft pick, departed after twelve seasons with the club. Evans left in free agency, signing a three-year deal with San Francisco.[2][3] In addition, linebacker Lavonte David announced his retirement from the NFL after 14 seasons, all with the Buccaneers.[4] Quarterback Baker Mayfield, entering the third and final year of his contract, reportedly hit an impasse and was unable to negotiate a contract extension with the club prior to his self-imposed deadline of training camp.[5] Likewise defensive tackle Vita Vea was a "hold-in" during training camp, and at one point reportedly requested a trade, before signing a contract extension on August 19.[6] Despite not reaching a deal, Mayfield was a full participant from the start of camp.

The throwback ′76 Uniforms, introduced in 2025, will be brought back for one game in 2026. The Buccaneers will wear the all-white throwback uniforms in Week 13 against the Chargers. The 2026 version will be nearly identical to that of 2025, minus the 50th anniversary patch, and adding stitched lettering of "Hey! Hey! Tampa Bay!" on the jersey collar, in reference to the 1979 fight song.[7] In addition, the solid orange jersey throwbacks will not be used in 2026, which instead will allow them to bring back the all-pewter color rush uniform, which they will wear in Week 15 against New Orleans.[8]

On June 23, 2026, the club announced the hiring of Tony Castricone as the new radio voice of the Buccaneers, replacing the retired Gene Deckerhoff.[9][10]
