This is the first full season Barcelona are playing at their historic Camp Nou stadium since its closure for renovation, having returned to the ground partway through the previous season.[1] This is also the club's first season since 2021–22 without forwards Robert Lewandowski, who departed after his contract expired and joined MLS club Chicago Fire, and Ferran Torres, who left to join French side Paris Saint-Germain.

With Marc-André ter Stegen on loan at Ajax until the end of the season, this is Barcelona's first campaign without any members of the squad that won the 2015 Champions League. It is also the club's first squad without a player who won the Champions League with Barcelona since the 1997–98 season.
