The 6th Kalasha International Film & TV Awards ceremony, presented by the Kenya Film Commission, honoured the best in Kenyan television and film for the year 2015. It took place on 30 October 2015 at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi, Kenya.[1] The awards recognize excellence in storytelling, direction, performance and technical execution in the Kenyan entertainment industry.[2]
Following a rebranding to "Kalasha International," the 2015 edition marked a major step for the awards. Simon Mukali's drama film Veve was one of the biggest winners of the night, securing Best Feature Film, Best Director and Best Lighting Technician.[3] The television categories saw Groove Theory win Best TV Drama, while veteran actress Mary Khavere, popularly known as Mama Kayai, was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award.[4][5]
