Abraham (Avar khagan) From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Khagan of the Avar Khaganate Abraham became an Avar khagan around 805.[1] He was the successor of Theodorus.[1] Abraham was baptised in Germany.[1] He died or was deposed before 811, because in this year, the Avar khagan was his successor.[1][clarification needed] 1 2 3 4 Gerard Labuda: Abraham.
