Acalitus is a genus of mites in the family Eriophyidae. These cosmopolitan, microscopic arthropods form galls on various plants, and some species such as Acalitus essigi[1] and Acalitus vaccinii[2] are pests of agricultural significance associated with berry crops. This genus includes, but is not limited to the following species:[3]
