Aghnacollia

54°10′14″N 7°47′51″W / 54.1706°N 7.7974°W / 54.1706; -7.7974 Aghnacollia (from Irish Achadh na Coille, meaning 'The Field of the Wood') is a townland in the civil parish of Templeport, County Cavan, Ireland. It lies in the Roman Catholic parish of Corlough and barony of Tullyhaw.[1]

Aghnacollia is bounded on the north by Commas (Kinawley) townland, on the west by Legnaderk townland and on the east by Altbrean and Altachullion Lower townlands. Its chief geographical features are mountain streams, waterfalls and a spring well. Aghnacollia is traversed by the R200 road (Ireland), minor public roads and rural lanes. The townland covers 323 statute acres.[2] The local pronunciation is Ahnacarrilla.[3]
