Ahmadreza Rofougaran, also known as Reza Rofougaran is an Iranian-American electrical engineer, inventor, and entrepreneur.

Rofougaran was born in Isfahan, Iran, and moved to the US in the 1980s after the closure of Iranian universities after the 1979 Iranian Revolution to study electrical engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles. Rofougaran obtained his BS in 1986, MS in 1988 and earned his PhD from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1998.[1][2] His PhD thesis was focused on the development of a fast frequency hopped spectrum wireless system using CMOS integrated circuits and was supported by DARPA and focused on the development of other wireless systems such as GPS using CMOS technology which was supported by DARPA SBIR program.[3]
