Akhtar Hossain Bhuiyan (born 31 December 1959) is a retired civil servant who served as the Secretary of the Ministry of Defence from 1 January 2017 to 31 December 2019.[1] He had served under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.[2][3] As Secretary, he was the chief executive and administrative officer of the ministry, overseeing its affiliated agencies and departments.
