Aledo (/əˈliːdoʊ/ ə-LEE-doh) is a city in Parker County, Texas, United States.[2] Its population was 4,858 in 2020.[4] The city is served by the Aledo Independent School District.

Demographics
2020 census
As of the 2020 census, 4,858 people, 1,554 households, and 1,219 families were residing in the city. The median age was 33.4 years; 34.4% of residents were under 18 and 7.9% were 65 or older. For every 100 females, there were 97.9 males, and for every 100 females 18 and over, there were 92.9 males 18 and over.[8]
About 99.8% of residents lived in urban areas, while 0.2% lived in rural areas.[9]
Of the 1,554 households, 56.0% had children under 18 living in them, 68.9% were married-couple households, 8.4% were households with a male householder and no spouse or partner present, and 18.0% were households with a female householder and no spouse or partner present. About 12.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 5.1% had someone living alone who was 65 or older.[8]
Of the 1,608 housing units, 3.4% were vacant. Among occupied housing units, 84.4% were owner-occupied and 15.6% were renter-occupied. The homeowner vacancy rate was 1.1% and the rental vacancy rate was 5.4%.[8]
