Career
Karting
Abkhazava mostly competed in Rotax karting, most notably finishing tenth in the 2020 Rotax Winter Cup in Junior Max and in the 2021 Rotax Max Golden Trophy in Senior Max.[2]
Formula 4
In early 2023, it was announced that Abkhazava would be stepping up to cars with R-ace GP in the 2023 Formula 4 UAE Championship.[3] He finished 28th in the drivers' standings, with a best result of 9th place at Kuwait Motor Town.[4] Abkhazava then moved over to Europe, and he would be competing in the 2023 F4 Spanish Championship with Drivex.[5] He subsequently finished 24th in the standings to cap off a disappointing year, with a best result of tenth.[6]
Formula Regional
2024

In January 2024, it was confirmed that Abkhazava would be contesting the full 2024 Formula Regional Middle East Championship season with Pinnacle Motorsport.[7] Abkhazava had a breakthrough season, finishing in 15th in the standings after a best result of fourth place in the first round at Yas Marina.[8] He ended up scoring 20 points over the course of the season.[9]
For his main campaign, Abkhazava drove for Saintéloc Racing during the full 2024 Eurocup-3 season.[10] On his debut, he finished second in an eventful race at Spa-Francorchamps.[11] He secured his first victory in the championship in the third race of the third round at Algarve.[12] However, Abkhazava endured a tough second half of the season in the series, seeing him fall to an eventual ninth-placed finish in the championship standings.[13] Abkhazava then contested the 2024 Formula Regional World Cup, hosted at the Guia Circuit in Macau, where he finished ninth.[14]
2025
Abkhazava switched to MP Motorsport for the 2025 Eurocup-3 season, stating his goal to be to "vie for the championship".[15][16] He also competed with the team in the Eurocup-3 Spanish Winter Championship.[17] He finished 15th in the winter series standings with 19 points, his best finish being fourth in the first race at Portimão. In the main series, he was unable to better his results from his rookie season, and he finished 12th overall with two podiums.[18]
2026
At the start of 2026, Abkhazava raced in the Formula Regional Middle East Trophy, continuing his partnership with MP Motorsport.[19] He took two wins during the series – one in the opening race of the season, which made him the first driver to take pole position and win a race in the new Tatuus F3 T-326 car,[20] and a lights-to-flag victory in round three at the Dubai Autodrome.[21] With one additional podium, he finished third overall in the standings.[22]
Abkhazava remained with MP Motorsport as he moved to the Formula Regional European Championship for his main campaign.[23] He took his first podium in the series in round three at Spa-Francorchamps, moving from fifth to second during the race.[24]
