Alfredo Buzaid (20 July 1914 – 10 July 1991)[1] was a Brazilian jurist, lawyer, magistrate and professor. During the military dictatorship he was Minister of Justice in the Emílio Garrastazu Médici government and Minister of the Supreme Court appointed by President João Figueiredo.

He was one of the leading drafters of the 1973 Code of Civil Procedure, which became known as the "Buzaid Code" and was in force until 2015.
