Ali Savadkouhi (Persian: علی سوادکوهی, born 22 July 1998) is an Iranian freestyle wrestler who competes in the 79 kg weight class. He is an Asian champion, an Islamic Solidarity Games gold medalist, and a U23 World bronze medalist.

Career
In 2020, Savadkouhi won the bronze medal in the men's 79 kg event at the 2020 Asian Wrestling Championships held in New Delhi, India. He defeated Sohrab Sharipov from Uzbekistan in the opening round, but lost in the semifinal to Arsalan Budazhapov of Kyrgyzstan, before winning the bronze medal match against Giyomjan Yuzurbaev of Kazakhstan.[1]
At the 2021 Asian Wrestling Championships in Almaty, Kazakhstan, he advanced to the final of the 79 kg event after wins over Ryuki Yoshida (Japan), Sayakbay Yusupov (Kyrgyzstan) and Giyomjan Yuzurbaev (Kazakhstan). In the final, he lost 5–3 to Gong Byung-min of South Korea, taking the silver medal.[2]
Savadkouhi also competed at the 2021 U23 World Wrestling Championships in Belgrade, Serbia, where he won the bronze medal at 79 kg. He defeated Viky (India) and Oktay Hasan (Bulgaria), lost to Magomed Magomaev (Russia), then won through repechage to claim bronze with a win over Ashraf Ashirov (Azerbaijan).[3]
In 2022, Savadkouhi became the Asian champion in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, defeating Byambadorj Enkhbayar (Mongolia), Yudai Takahashi (Japan), and in the final, Gourav Baliyan (India).[4]
He also won gold at the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games (held in 2022 in Konya), overcoming Mohamed Akdeniz of Turkey in the final.[5]
In December 2022, Savadkouhi was part of the Iranian team that ended the USA's long home winning streak at the Freestyle Wrestling World Cup, defeating Jordan Burroughs in a key bout.[6]
