Ali Şahin (born 2 June 1967) is a Turkish taekwondo coach and former heavyweight competitor. He has achieved success as both an athlete and a coach for the Turkish national taekwondo team. He is the brother of Metin Şahin.
Şahin was born in Konya, Turkey. He competed in the heavyweight division (+83 kg) for Turkey in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He won the bronze medal at the 1986 European Taekwondo Championships in Seefeld, Austria.[1] He won silver at the 1988 European Taekwondo Championships in Ankara,[2] and became European champion at the 1990 European Taekwondo Championships in Aarhus, Denmark.[3] Şahin also won a silver medal at the 1993 World Taekwondo Championships in New York.[4]
