History

Alpha Food Service was established in 2005 as a supplier of food products and raw materials for restaurants, hotels, bakeries, and retail chains in Armenia. The company began its operations with the import and distribution of Monin syrups. In 2006, the product portfolio expanded to include bakery and confectionery ingredients, frying oils, and professional mixes, including products from IREKS[2] and Martini Professional.

In the following years the company continued to broaden its assortment, adding coffee brands, as well as additional confectionery and food ingredients. Between 2010 and 2015 the portfolio was further expanded with dairy products, olive oils, and other food categories, followed by the introduction of spirits and wine brands. This expansion led the company later to be involved among the 200 top taxpayers of Armenia[3]

After 2019 the company launched its own retail projects, including The House, specializing in premium alcoholic beverages and delicacies, and The Bake House, focused on baking ingredients, tools, and confectionery supplies.[4]

As of the mid-2020s, Alpha Food Service represents more than 100 international brands in the Armenian market.[5]

In 2025, the EU-Armenia SME Fund invested USD 5.5 million in the company to support expansion and the construction of a modern logistics and warehouse complex designed to improve storage, distribution, and operational efficiency.[6][7] The same year the company joined EBRD's Blue Ribbon Program in Armenia.
