Ancistrus gymnorhynchus[2] is a species of catfish in the family Loricariidae, endemic to Venezuela, where it occurs in the upper Pao River of the Orinoco drainage basin and coastal rivers of the Carabobo and Yaracuy states. It reaches 14.2 cm (5.6 in) in standard length and feeds very efficiently on algae.[3]
