Andrew Haruna (born 4 April 1957) is a Nigerian academic. He is a professor of linguistics and Nigerian languages. He served as the second vice chancellor of the Federal University of Gashua (2016-2021).[1][2]
Haruna was born in 1957 in Bauchi State. He attended Gar Local Education Authority Primary School, Bauchi, and Government College Maiduguri, Borno State (1971 to 1975). He attended the University of Maiduguri, where he earned a BA (Honors) in Linguistics in 1981. He then proceeded to the University of London, where he obtained his Master of Arts (MA) and a PhD in 1985 and 1990, respectively. [3][4][5]
