A 133 ft (41 m) tower was constructed as a part of Indian International Trade and Industries Fair in 1968. The tower was inaugurated by then Vice-President of India V. V. In 2018, renovation of the tower was undertaken at a cost of 4.4 million (US$46,000) with the addition of grills in the balconies, installation of fencing, new lights and anti-skid tiles. Following the installation of the safety features, the tower was reopened for public on 21 March 2023.[1][2][3]
