Antonio Catania

Born in Acireale, Province of Catania, when he was 16 Catania moved with his family to Milan,[1] where he studied acting at the Drama School of the Piccolo Teatro.[2] After graduating, he started an intense stage career, often working with Gabriele Salvatores with the stage company Compagnia dell'Elfo.[2][3]
After a number of minor roles, Catania gained more substantial parts in the 1990s, working with directors such as Silvio Soldini, Carlo Verdone, Leone Pompucci, Nanni Moretti, and Gabriele Salvatores.[3] Catania is also active in television, notably in the TV series Zanzibar, Boris, and The Bad Guy.
