Antony Peter Jenkins CBE (born 11 July 1961)[1] is a British business executive. Since 2016 he has been the chief executive officer of 10x Future Technologies, which he founded. He was the group chief executive of Barclays from August 2012 until July 2015. Jenkins is the current Chancellor of Manchester Metropolitan University.[2]
Jenkins was born in Blackburn,[1] grew up in Stoke-on-Trent,[3] and was educated at Malbank School and Sixth Form College.[1] He studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) at the University of Oxford,[4] and was an undergraduate student at University College, Oxford graduating in 1982.[1] He continued his studies in the Cranfield School of Management at Cranfield University gaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in 1988.[1][5]
