Anwarul Momen SBP, OSP, rcds, psc (Bengali: আনওয়ারুল মোমেন; born 2 November 1965) was a two star rank Major General of Bangladesh Army.[1][2] His last appointment was Senior Directing Staff (Army-1)[3] at National Defence College.[4][5]

Career

Maj Gen Momen was commissioned with 12th BMA long course from Bangladesh Military Academy in 1985. Momen previously commanded a composite brigade.[6] He was the Military Secretary to Army Headquarters.[7] He was the GOC of 17th Infantry Division & area commander of Sylhet Area.[8] He commanded a raid on militant den in Sylhet on 25 March 2017 named Operation Twilight.[9][10][11] He was commandant of Bangladesh Military Academy.[12]
