Aasaram Lomate (also spelled Asaram Lomte) is a contemporary Indian Marathi-language writer and journalist. Born in Guguli Dhamangaon, Selu taluka, Parbhani district, Maharashtra, He resides in Parbhani and works as a correspondent for the daily newspaper Loksatta [1]in Parbhani. He is best known for his short-story collection Ālok (2010), which won the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Award in 2016. Lomte’s writing is celebrated for its realistic and sensitive portrayal of rural Marathi life, social struggles, and human relationships. His other notable works include the short-story collections Ida Pida Talo and Valsara, the essay collection Dhulper (2017), and the novel Tasnas (2020)
