Ashish Chanchlani (born 8 December 1993) is an Indian Youtube personality, actor and director, known for his comedy sketches on the YouTube channel Ashish Chanchlani Vines. He later expanded into long-form digital content, including short films and web series such as Ekaki. [1][2] In 2019, Ashish Chanchlani received the Best Comedy Influencer award at the World Bloggers Awards held in Cannes, France. [3]

Early life and education

Ashish Chanchlani was born in Ulhasnagar, Maharashtra, India, to Anil Chanchlani and Deepa Chanchlani, who were associated with the cinema exhibition business. [4] He initially pursued a degree in civil engineering before shifting his focus to acting and digital content creation.[5] He later trained at the Barry John Acting Studio in Mumbai.[6]

Career

Chanchlani started creating content on YouTube in 2014. His early work consisted of short comedy sketches based on everyday situations, relationships and youth culture. [7] His videos typically feature ensemble casts and recurring characters. [8]

Chanchlani has made guest appearances in various shows and web-based productions such as Class of 2017, Social Currency,[9] Playground, Dhindora and India’s Got Latent, as well as scripted TV series including Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya.
