Attica is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Attica Township, Lapeer County, Michigan, United States. Its population was 962 as of the 2020 census. [3] Attica has a post office with ZIP code 48412.[4][5]
Attica is in southeastern Lapeer County, north of the center of Attica Township. It is 1 mile (1.6 km) north of Interstate 69, with access from Exit 163 (Lake Pleasant Road). I-69 leads east 39 miles (63 km) to Port Huron and west 27 miles (43 km) to Flint. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the Attica CDP has an area of 4.968 square miles (12.87 km2), of which 4.775 square miles (12.37 km2) are land and 0.193 square miles (0.50 km2), or 3.88%, are water.[6]
