Auburn is a census-designated place and unincorporated community in Walsh County, North Dakota, United States. The population was 31 at the 2020 census,[3] and was estimated to be 13 in 2023.[4]

A post office called Auburn was established in 1883 and remained in operation until 1943.[5] With the construction of the railroad, business activity shifted to nearby Grafton, and the town's population dwindled.[6]
