Auriculella castanea is a species of air-breathing tropical land snails, terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusks in the family Achatinellidae. This species is endemic to Oahu in the Hawaiian Islands.[3]
Auriculella castanea has a sinistral shell.[4] These snails are typically small and brown.[5] The length of this species is similar to Auriculella Tenuis.[6] The shell typically measures 9mm in length and 4mm in diameter.[6] The interior of the penis area exhibits a thin-walled tube like appearance.[4]
