Austrosynthemis is a monotypic genus of dragonfly in the family Synthemistidae.[4][5] Its single species, Austrosynthemis cyanitincta,[6] more commonly known as the turquoise tigertail,[7] is found in south-western Australia,[8][6] where it inhabits streams.[9]

Austrosynthemis cyanitincta is a small, black dragonfly with blue markings.[7]
